Alice Marie Clemens

Alice was born July 25, 1923 in Norton, KS to George W. and Flora Armstrong Finn. Adopted at age three by Lealon M. and Myra Sarvis Ward, she spent her childhood in Almena, KS, before moving with her family to Kuna, ID in 1938. In 1945 she married Robert E. Sloneker, also of Kuna. The couple farmed in the area until 1960 when their family moved to Nampa. Her husband died in 1962.
In 1968 she married Glen M. Clemens. Their merged family lived in Nampa, where Alice taught private piano lessons for many years, also serving as a church pianist and organist. Later she worked in the Nampa schools lunch program, and clerked at the Merc Department store. She and Glen were members of the Church of the Good Shepherd. Glen passed away in 2002. She lived then with her daughter Linda in Bountiful UT until returning to Nampa in 2014.
Alice is survived by two sisters and a brother from her birth family, as well as her children: Dick Sloneker (Jeanne) of Nampa; Linda Flanary of Bountiful UT; Kathleen Wright (Dan) of Summerville SC; Julie Moss (Danny) of Hawthorne NV; Bob Sloneker (Sam) of Sydney Australia; Judy O'Dell (Rick Taylor) of Oasis ID; Glenna Nicks (Quentin) of Nampa; and Herbert Clemens (Laura) of Caldwell.
Also surviving are grandchildren Rocky Flanary (Laura Keppel), Lance Flanary, Robert Wright (Mitzi), Christine Wright (Keith Brann), James Wright (Marjorie), Richard Wright (Kelly), Dan Moss (Sandy), Tammy Adams (Randy), Cyndi Reed (Zeke), Kara Dimmick, Mandy Townsend (Andy), Marissa Nicks, and Herbert Clemens (Laura); 31 great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
