I enjoyed meeting Mr. Thornburg to talk to him about his garden. When we exchanged names, he told me if I couldn't remember it, I could just call him Thistleberry. That made me laugh and it really did help me remember his name. I'm thankful that he had the support to stay in his own home. He did have a sweet personality.

Jim and Jan: We were all so very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing, and I appreciated hearing from Jim and being able to talk with him once again, even though it was at such a difficult time. I'm sorry that an unexpected matter prevented me from being able to attend the services on Saturday, but you both were in my thoughts, and I am sure those of Larry, Gaye and Dawn as well. Terry

Dear Family,
We are so sorry to hear of Charles' passing (thank you Cheryl for calling this morning). I (Allen) have so many wonderful memories of Charles growing up, especially when we lived in Fruitland, ID. Charles and Jerry introduced Dad, Les (in Navy together) to Mom (Oneta Thornburg Owens) in Enterprise OR. Through the years, we kept in touch when visiting mom. He was a kind, gentle, loving man. We know he is now rejoicing in heaven with his loved ones and especially his Savior.

I loved listening to Charlie’s stories about the train in Nampa. His enthusiasm was so heartfelt. My condolences to his son, daughter, sister and grandchildren. The world was a better place when you were here Charlie. You will be missed.
