Esther Jane Jones, 80, of Nampa, passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at her home. She was born November 23, 1936 in St. Joseph, Missouri to Chester and Victrena Jones.

She attended all of her schooling in St. Joseph, MO.

Esther enjoyed her job as a dishwasher at a local restaurant in St. Joseph. She also enjoyed drawing, shopping, fishing, camping and collecting treasures.

Esther is survived by her son, Larry Dale Jones of Nampa; two sisters, Wanda Donaldson of Nampa and Sharon Paine of Nampa; nine nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews and many great-great nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and an infant brother, James “Jimmie” Jones.

Esther loved her family. She remembered every gift given and by whom. She enjoyed Friday nights out with friends, beer and dancing. She never said “no” when her family said “Come on Esther, let’s dance”. We miss you so much.

Visitation will be Thursday, September 28, 2017 from 5:00 – 7:00 pm at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa. Funeral services will be on Friday, September 29 at 10:00 am at First Christian Church, 619 12th Ave. S., Nampa. Interment will take place in Kohlerlawn Cemetery.
