George Baker Miller passed away peacefully at the age of 93 at his home on Sunday, April 23, 2017. He was born July 18, 1923 in Avard, Oklahoma to William Jacob Miller and Alta May Baker Miller.

George met Ruth Ellen Landess in June of 1951 and they were married on November 3, 1951. They moved to Idaho in 1955 from a ranch in the Texas Panhandle. They were married for over 65 years. To this union were born two sons, Bradford W. Miller (Deborah) and Anthony H. Miller (Terry), both from Kuna, Idaho. He had seven grandchildren, Chris (Christine) of Merrimac, Queensland, Australia, Jake (Angie), Adam (Alicia), Brandon (Amelia), Eric (Katie), Jamie (Will), and Jeff (Sage), all of Kuna, Idaho, and also 13 great-grandsons and seven great-granddaughters.

George was a graduate of Beaver Oklahoma High School. He served in World War II in the Occupied Forces of Japan. He was a heavy equipment operator in his younger days. He and Ruth and family operated Miller’s Mountain View Dairy Farm. They were the first Grade “A” Dairy Farm in the Dairy Co‑op. George was a hard worker and a good farmer. He was a loving and wonderful husband, father, and grandad. He loved to play games, especially with his grandkids and great-grandkids, and to take them fishing and camping. He was a member of the Valley Shepherd Church of the Nazarene in Meridian, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his five brothers, Alfred W. Miller, J. Heber Miller, Ted J. Miller, Robert E. Miller and Norman E. Miller. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Ellen Landess Miller; three sisters, Betty Lou Wendel of Belmend, Iowa, Eva LaRue Wilhite (husband Rudy) of Beaver, Oklahoma, Mary Ellen Lane of Guymon, Oklahoma  and two sisters-in-laws Emma Miller and Juanita Miller.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 29, at 1 pm at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel in Nampa, Idaho. Burial will be at the Kuna Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Kuna Boys and Girls Club in George’s name.
