Neomia passed away peacefully on August 11, 2017 surrounded by loved ones.

Neomia was born in Eugene, Oregon on July 12, 1938 to Roy and Opal Post. Neomia was the baby of the family joining her older brother Melvin and sister Wilma. She grew up in Nampa before moving to Kuna. She graduated from Kuna High School.

Neomia married Bob Machos at St. Paul’s in Nampa, ID on November 11, 1956. Bob and Neomia welcomed their first child, Mike, on December 11, 1961. Mike was then joined by a baby sister, Gail, on Feb 10, 1963. The family then moved out to Kuna, ID where they resided for over 30 years before returning to Nampa to enjoy retirement. Neomia retired from the Kuna school district.

Neomia liked crafts, toll painting and helping Bob finish the amazing woodworking projects that they enjoyed selling year after year at Art in the Park. She had a love for camping; her favorite places included Stanley and Cascade. She loved her flowers! Neomia was always happy when she could look at her blooming flowers out the window.

Bob and Neomia spent the last many years playing hours of cards with their wonderful friends.

Neomia was a devoted, caring mother and spent her life taking care of her children. She always wanted family around and will be remembered for her love of Christmas Eve surrounded by her children, grand-children and great grandchildren.

Neomia is preceded in death by her parents,  Roy and Opal, her brother,  Melvin, her daughter-in-law, Whitney and her loving husband of 59 years Bob.

She is survived by her sister, Wilma Murrill (Bill) of Middleton, ID; her two children, Mike Machos of Nampa, ID and Gail Machos (Keith McIndoo) of Boise ID.; six grandchildren; JW Hartwick of Boise, ID, Amanda Machos of Kuna, ID, Ryan Machos (Kinsey) of Star, ID, Cody Machos of Nampa, ID, Nicole Smith (Shayne) of Nampa ID, and Tara Foster (Sean) of Mountain Home, ID. She will also be greatly missed by nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Neomia was a wonderful mother, grandmother, aunt and friend and will be deeply missed each and every day.

The family would like to thank Signature Hospice for allowing Neomia to pass peacefully surrounded by family.

There will be a viewing from 10 AM to 11 am on Thursday August 17th at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa followed by a service at 11 AM. There will be a graveside burial immediately following at the Kuna Cemetery. If you would like to make a donation in Neomia's name please do so to Signature Hospice, Nampa, ID.
