Ashlie Grace Carr

October 5, 1993 ~ October 16, 2021 (age 28) 28 Years Old

Tribute

Ashlie Grace Carr was 28 years old when she left this world on October 16, 2021 after a 2 year courageous battle with breast cancer.  Ashlie was born in Seattle on October 5, 1993 but had lived in many places throughout her life including Texas, Maryland, California and Idaho.  Boise, ID was her home for the past 3 ½ years.

Ashlie was extremely close with her family and is survived by her father Warner Carr, mother Monique Tiffany, stepmother Cheryl Carr and siblings Adam, Aubrey, Austin, Aiden and Aaron Carr as well as numerous cousins, aunts, uncles and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Judy (Wheeler-Carr) Atwood, Ronald Tiffany and Sharon (Brainard) Tiffany and her Aunt Regina (Tiffany) Martinez.

Ashlie was a ray of light to others and had so much love in her heart.  She was unique in that she valued being true to herself and wanted the same for others. She felt that this is what made the world a beautiful place.  Her innermost conviction was that all people deserved kindness and empathy even if they thought differently than herself.  She had an interest in astrology and crystals as well as meditation and felt that this had value in bringing inner peace and balance to her life.  Throughout her cancer journey she always found positivity and comforted others in the midst of her suffering.

Ashlie loved to travel and explore new places.  She felt very fortunate to have been able to travel internationally to other countries to include France, Italy, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.  By far, her go to happy place was Hawaii.  Over the past few years she was able to go every year, sometimes twice. She worked hard to step out of her comfort zone.  One way that she did this was through karaoke, where she was able to share her lovely voice with so many and make long lasting friends.  After a few trips to the Oregon Coast, she developed a great love for the town of Astoria that she even took a road trip all by herself, which she was very proud of.  The love of her life was her chihuahua Cookie who she got as a puppy when she was just 16.  She spoiled her with all of her love but opened her heart to another fur baby 2 years ago when she adopted her goldendoodle Charlie.  He was a great comfort to her on the days when she was not feeling so well and just needed to rest.

She attended Irvine Valley College in Irvine, CA and was a senior at Boise State University most recently working on her bachelor’s degree in psychology.  For 6 years she worked for Regal Cinema’s and after moving to Boise in 2018 she began working at Element’s Massage as a receptionist.  She made several “work friends” at both and kept long-lasting friendships with so many of her co-workers.  Ashlie also loved using social media.  She had an Instagram page for her pup Charlie (mr_charliebucket) and was so excited when some of her TikTok (@miss_carr6) videos received over 150K views as she shared her journey with cancer.  She was an inspiration to so many, even those that never met her in person.

Ashlie will be incredibly missed by all who knew her.  As her dad stated, “this has left an Ashlie shaped hole in my heart” and I know many will feel that.  She was certainly a daddy’s girl and also considered her mom to be one of her best friends.  Her parents feel so fortunate to have had her as their loving daughter, although her time on this earth was far too short.
