Beatrice Vidales Mendez

Born to Eusebio and Seferina Vidales in Texas on May 10th, 1941, Beatriz Mendez married Tony Mendez in 1957. A strong, loving and caring person, she had 6 children. After divorcing in 1970, she raised four girls on her own. A true member of her church for many years, Beatriz helped with fundraisers at St. Paul’s. She also worked at Simplot for 30 years. Her pastimes included reading her Bible, shopping, bingo, jackpot, family vacations, hunting and camping. Beatriz loved being outdoors. Besides God, the most important thing in her life was family. She considered becoming a grandmom the greatest day of her life, and visited her family weekly. Beatriz loved and cared so deeply and will be remembered for her kindness. There was nothing she wouldn’t do for someone in need. You could always count on her to be there when you needed her. Beatriz left this world January 11, 2023. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Pedro, Antonio and Tiburcio Vidales, her sisters Valentina Garcia and Jane Luna, and her daughter Mary Gloria Mendez. She leaves behind two sisters, Esther Ortivez and Mary Chavarria, as well as her children Yolanda (Eloy) Granados, Tony Mendez Jr., Jeannie (Ruben) Ramirez, Sylvia Mendez, and Angelina (Troy) Olsen as well as 14 grandkids, 32 great grandkids, and 8 great-great grandkids.
