Beverly Ann Taron was born on August 14, 1930, on LaMoure, ND, to Edmund and Frieda (Malm) Taron. She had an identical twin sister, Shirley Ann. She was baptized September 14, 1930, and confirmed in July, 1944, in Trinity English Lutheran Church. She graduated from LaMoure High School in 1948. From there she attended Dakota Business College and upon completion went to work for the college. Subsequently she was hired by a local congressman and worked in Washington, DC. Upon his death she returned to Moorhead, MN where she worked at North Dakota Agricultural College in the Arts and Sciences department. In 1954, she began working for Senator Milton R. Young in his offices in LaMoure and Washington, DC. On December 29, 1956 she married Elliott R. Garlie in Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Moorhead, MN. After their marriage, they made their home in Nampa, ID. Beverly worked as a receptionist for the Idaho Department of Employment for 6 years. She then worked for Grange Mutual/United Heritage for 26 ½ years as policy service/word processing manager. After her retirement in 1992 she did many volunteer jobs including 10 ½ years at Mercy Medical Center. She enjoyed listening to books on tape when her eye sight became a problem. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Beverly is survived by her two sons, Brian from Fort Collins, CO and Todd (Carmen) from Wendell, ID; 5 grandchildren: Jake, Shannon, Kristen, Lauren, and Madisen; 3 great grandchildren: Kyler, Kayder, and Logan; sister Darlene Antrobus and numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband Elliott passed away on February 1, 2008. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Edmund and Frieda Taron, sisters Shirley Ann Taron, and Geraldine Johnson.
A Life Celebration will be held on Friday, January 18, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, 404 Nectarine St., Nampa at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Caldwell.
