Billie L. White

On June 3, 2018 Billie White left this world to join the great orchestra in the sky. Billie was born June 10, 1933. Although he lived many places, he called Nampa, Idaho his home. He graduated from Idaho State University in Music and Biology. Billie married Hazel Woodland in 1956. They were married for 21 years.

 Music was his love and passion. Billie was a band and choir teacher for many years. “Mr. White” was a favorite teacher to many students and earned many awards during his long teaching career. Billie also played in various bands that were a fan favorite at many county fairs and dances. One of his bands 'Happy Daze' even made a record! Billie also served his country as a member of the Army National Guard Band.

He is survived by his three sisters, Ella Mae Trussell, Sherlene Tucker, and Sharon Jordan; a daughter, Vonda Coffman; and his four sons, Eddie White, Del White, Willard White, and Kyle White.

Visitation will be Friday, June 8, 2018 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651.  Services will be on Saturday, June 9, 2018 at 12 Noon at the funeral chapel with a procession to Kohlerlawn Cemetery for burial.
