“Chuck” passed away on September 2, 2021, following a battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles H. Cooke, Sr. & Mary Cooke as well as his siblings: Elinor Petersen, John Morgan Cooke, and Pat Schell. Chuck is survived by his children: Sara Cooke, Trei Cooke, and Jared Cooke and his five grandchildren.

Chuck was born August 13, 1952 in Ontario, Oregon and moved around the Pacific Northwest with his family before attending Adams Elementary in Boise. He graduated from Boise High School in 1970.

Joining in the early 80's, Chuck proudly served our nation in the US Army. First joining as an infantryman, he quickly moved to become a Warrant Officer and earned his wings as a UH-60 Blackhawk pilot. He saw the world, spending time in the Southern US, Korea, California, and much of South America while stationed in Panama. After finishing his career as an instructor pilot in Tacoma, WA, he received an Honorable Discharge in 1995.

Upon retirement, he returned to the Treasure Valley and settled in Nampa, starting C&S Lawn Maintenance. After years of serving his customers and building strong relationships, he transitioned to owning and operating Cooke's Pest Control.

Looking for more excitement, he took up competitive shooting and earned his way to Master Class. His passion was traveling with his group of friends to various sites around the region and the country, including a tight-knit community in Arizona that he joined the last few winters, to hone his craft, to compete, and to live life. To say that he loved this sport would be a wild understatement. It was Chuck's final wish for everyone to join in a “Final Shoot” in his honor.

His service will be held on September 16th at 1:00 pm at Kohlerlawn Cemetery. Reception to follow.
