June 24, 1991 ~ June 30, 2021 (age 30) 30 Years Old

Tribute

Cody Douglas Conner, 30, born June 24th, 1991 in Nampa Idaho passed on June 30th, 2021 in Nampa Idaho.

Although only 30 at the time of his death, Cody affected many people in his short lifetime.

Cody is survived by his daughter, McKenna Conner; fiancée Jessica Roman and children Brantley and Josie Bedford; father, John Conner; mother, Kimberley Miller (Steve); sister, Shoshauna Conner (Marc); brother, John Conner; brother, Dustin Brumfield (Janee); stepsister, Stephanie Dockery (Mike); grandmother, Patricia Burright; niece, Audriauna Dockery; niece, Alyssa Dockery; nephew, Cody Conner (Sarah); niece, Allison Dockery; niece, Angelica Dockery; nephew, Kaison Brumfield; nephew, Drayden Brumfield; great-niece, Alexus Ortiz; grandnephew, Journey Meadows; and great aunt and uncle, aunts and uncles, cousins, and many great friends.

At just two years old, Cody was riding a bicycle without training wheels to keep up with his sister and brothers. By four years he started riding and racing dirt bikes. He was a natural. It was as if the bike were an extension of his legs. Cody and his parents chased the racing circuit across Idaho, into the Northwest, and eventually across the country to Tennessee. A racing accomplishment of Cody’s was winning the 250-Novice Class at the world minis in Las Vegas. Cody changed gears from racing, finished High School with his GED, and went into the working field.

On September 2nd, 2018, his whole life changed with the birth of his daughter McKenna. He was really involved in her life. He would get up in the middle of the night to share a bowl of cereal with her. He also enjoyed teaching her how to ride the ATV and stating, “shes going to moto im telling you right now!!!!!”. Then would take her and the family out to enjoy nature as he enjoyed it at the lake; fishing and camping. She has been a joy, a light, something to look forward to every day for Cody. When you see him hug her, it was almost as if he wanted their skin to melt together because it wasn’t close enough.

Cody enjoyed; being a father, family, teaching his daughter how to ride the ATV, riding dirt bikes, camping, fishing, was the jack of all trades mechanically, fast trucks, funny videos he shared with everyone on social media, and certainly being a jokester at your expense. His laugh was infectious and his heart was huge.

Over the last couple of days, the outpouring of love for Cody has been directed to his family. He made plans with everyone. He showed up to get the job done for friends and family. He became the man we all knew he was inside the whole time. He is loved by all.

In the arms of the angel, fly away from here. Those special memories of you will always bring a smile, if only we could have you back for just a little while. Then we could sit and talk again just like we used to do. The fact that you’re no longer here will always cause us pain. We know you are in good hands now and forever in our hearts until we meet again.

Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace. Love always, in the name of Jesus. Amen
