Grace Eileen Barnes-Menuey

Our dear beloved Mother, Grace Eileen Morehead Barnes-Menuey, has returned home to the Loving arms of her Heavenly Father on July 5, 2018 at the age of 86. Grace was born October 25, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  She was the daughter of Calvin Earl Morehead and Ella Margaret Oblinger.

Grace had a great love for her family; they were the most important to her.  Grace had a love for children and spent many hours volunteering in the elementary schools. Grace’s love for people didn’t stop with the children, if she saw a need or a chance for service, Grace was there to serve. Grace taught her children to serve by taking them with her to give them an opportunity to serve someone else. Grace is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Grace had a great Love and Testimony of her Heavenly Father and her Savior Jesus Christ.

Grace is survived by her children, Judy (David) Sorgenfrei, Nampa; Robin Maxwell, Boise; Heidi (Jim) Lemcke, Canyon City, OR; Becki (Cory) Curtis, Highland Village, TX; Adam (Brenda) Barnes, Weiser; Rita Baughman, Missouri; Johnny Menuey, Phoenix, AZ; Rhonda (Scott) Alexander, Santa Clarita, CA; Melissa (Clay) Watson, Whittman, AZ; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Grace is preceded in death by her husbands, Dudley E. Barnes, and John D. Menuey; her son, Joshua G. Barnes; her parents; brothers; and sisters.

A funeral will be held 11:00AM Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Amity Chapel, 2212 E. Amity Avenue, Nampa, ID. Interment and graveside services will be at West Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ.  All are welcomed.
