Guadalupe Charles Reyna, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Linares, Nuevo León, México, on September 17, 1933. 

Lupe lived in San Juan, Texas where she met and married Lewis A. Reyna, they eventually moved to Nampa where they made their permanent home.

Lupe is survived by her children; Lewis Reyna Jr., Virginia Beach, VA; Osbaldo Reyna, Nampa; Mirella Reyna and her husband Jesse Flores, Star; and Horace Reyna, Nampa. Her siblings, Elida Rodriguez, La Joya, TX; Olga Zavala and her husband Salvador, Nampa; and Felix Charles and his wife Margarita, Nampa; and a special friend who she claimed as a daughter, Margarita Melero, Nampa.  She is survived by numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Lupe was preceded in death by her mother Agustina Charles; husband Lewis A. Reyna; grandson Lewis Paulino Reyna; daughter Nidia Reyna; and nephew Felix Charles Jr.

Lupe was a devout Catholic who instilled in those around her the value of persistence in the face of difficulty, and of love in the face of adversity. She loved her gardens, cultivating her flowers like she did her relationships with those around her. Her legacy and principals will live on within those she touched.

In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa.

A viewing  will be on Monday, August 7, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel with a reciting of the rosary beginning at 7:00 PM. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Nampa on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 10:00 AM followed by a private family interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.

The family expresses their gratitude to the caring staff at Karcher Estates and Trinity Health & Rehab.  Thank you for providing compassionate care to our mother during her difficult journey.
