Tribute

On Friday April 30th, 2021, Gwendolyn Joy Reaman died at home in Nampa, Idaho surrounded by loved ones. She was 81 years old.

Gwen is survived by her siblings, Shirley Miller of Zanesville, Ohio, Stanley McGill of Meridian, Idaho, and Paul Zabel of Boise, Idaho.  Her children Kathleen Reaman of Nampa, Idaho, Patricia Just of Nampa, Idaho, David Reaman of Nampa, Idaho, James and Lucy (Van Sickle) Reaman of Buhl, Idaho, and John and Payia (Vang) Reaman of Meridian, Idaho. As well has many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Katherine McGill and her beloved husband James Reaman.

Gwen was born on July 8th, 1939 to Warren and Audrey Mae (Law) McGill in Meridian, Idaho where she was raised.

Gwen met James Reaman at Meridian high school where they dated. They were married in 1955. 

After moving to Boise, Idaho, they started a family. They had two daughters and three sons. They moved to Kuna, Idaho in 1969 where they lived and raised their family.

While together, they loved to camp, fish, watch movies and were big Boise State football fans.  They had season tickets and enjoyed attending games together. Most of all, they loved to laugh.

Gwen was a big supporter of her children in all their activities.  She was a talented singer, loved gardening and was an excellent cook. She always had a love for animals.

She worked many years with special needs children and adults in various capacities with Idaho State School and hospital as well as Communicare.  She loved caring for these special individuals, and they were dear to her heart.

After James died, Gwen moved to Nampa, Idaho where she lived out the rest of her life.  She continued her love for sports as a Denver Bronco and a BSU football fan. Later in life, she worked at Walmart over ten years where she utilized her gardening skills in the garden department.  She met many good friends there.  

No memorial service or funeral is planned.
