Harlan H Rensvold, 74, went to Heaven on August 3, 2019. He was born to Carl and Beulah Rensvold on January 22, 1945 in Alliance, Nebraska. Harlan started his school years in Alliance and then finished in Boise when the family moved to Garden City in 1956.
In 1967 he went to work at Hood Corporation as a broom pusher and worked up to a truck driver. His goal was to become a mechanic on heavy equipment and that goal was reached after going to school. He then reached another level as Service Manager for 2 heavy equipment distributors in the Boise Valley. The last job before he retired was with Bobby’s Transmission in Meridian as Office Manager.
He enjoyed yard work, gardening, fishing, hunting, and working on his 66 Chevy Truck, a forever “Grease Monkey”.
On March 10, 1973 he married his love, Kathleen Johnson. They were blessed with two sons, Aaron and Bryan. He was a loving and kind husband and father. He would say his best decision he made was when to trusted Jesus Christ as his savior and joined Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian and became a faithful member.
Harlan leaves behind his wife, Kathleen; sons, Aaron (Kathy) and Bryan (Kristin) of Boise; grandchildren, Karlee, Hailey, Bryce, Austin, and Stella; sisters, Karen and her son, Don, of Boise, and Darlene of Burbank, Wa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Beulah Rensvold; brother, Wilmer; and sisters, Lela, Carolyn, and Ellen.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Friday, August 9, 2019 at Treasure Valley Baptist Church, 1300 S. Teare Ave., Meridian, ID 83642.
