Jonathan Steven Wright

November 4, 1985 ~ April 9, 2018 (age 32) 32 Years Old

Tribute

On April 9th our beloved Jonathan Steven Wright, 32, of Nampa Idaho, went home to be with our Heavenly Father. Jonathan came into this world on November 4th, 1985, born to his parent’s Laurie Bateman and Mark Wright at San Antonio Community Hospital in Upland California. His mother, Laurie chose the biblical name Jonathan. In Hebrew the name Jonathan means Jehovah’s gift or gift from God. Never has a name been more fitting. As a child Jonathan was always very outgoing and charismatic.  Jon showed amazing love and compassion to everyone and judged no one.  It didn’t matter if you were family or a friend, he was quick to forgive and his love for you was unconditional. He was there when you needed a shoulder to lean on or a non-judgmental person to talk to. He always tried to offer encouragement, even when he himself was struggling.  Nearly every conversation or text he would end with I love you.

Throughout Jonathan’s life he had many hobbies such as soccer, skateboarding, computers, MMA and others. His true passions were music and art. His knowledge of music was vast and deep, whether it was classic rock, underground hip hop (his favorite) or even country. Music was such a part of his life that it was rare to see him without either headphones on or earphones in listening to music. Art and music were always soothing to him. Jonathan had a thirst for knowledge and a desire to excel at everything he did, whether it was being the top salesman at work, learning a new skateboard trick or learning how things worked, especially when it came to computers. He loved all aspects of programming, building and trouble shooting, he always loved a challenge.

Jon’s greatest love was and always will be his beautiful daughter Chloe Tuupangawish Wright. His love for her was his reason to keep fighting and having faith when his body was in pain and failing him. He was always in awe of her strengths and talents and used to joke with her how most of them came from him. Her middle name, Tuupangawish, translates to “Angel” in the Luiseno language. For 12 years she was his angel and now he is hers.

Jon is survived by his daughter Chloe Wright. He is also survived by his mother Laurel Bateman and his step-father Thomas Bateman, his father Mark Wright and his step-mother Belinda Wright, sister Stephanie Marie Holman, her husband Joshua and their children Molly Morgan Shea and Anthony Robert Wright, his brother Bradley Mark Wright and his wife Jessica and their daughter MaryJane Ann Wright. He is also survived by his grandparents Viola Inman, Sharon Nagle and Thomas and Karen Callahan along with numerous Aunts, Uncles and cousins.

There will be two memorial services for Jonathan. The first one will be at Hermosa Park in Alta Loma, California on Sunday April 29th at 1 PM for his friends and relatives that are unable to make it to Idaho. The second one will be his celebration of life on Saturday May 5th from 12 PM until 2 PM at Common Ground Biker church in Meridian, Idaho. A memorial fund to help with expenses has been set up at Idaho Central Credit Union, Jonathan Wright Memorial Fund. Any funds above and beyond the expenses will go to buying shoes for the Treasure Valley’s homeless Vets, something Jonathan felt very strongly about.
