Joseph Robert (Bob) Aguilar, 86, passed away at his home on Sunday, December 3, 2017.  He was born January 31, 1931 in Burley, Idaho to Trinidad and Margarita Aguilar.

Bob married Mary Prater in 1953 in Wendell, Idaho.  He served in the National Guard in Gooding as a tank driver and was employed with Safeway, Consumers Market, Albertsons, Zellerback and the Kawana Brothers before starting his own wood products manufacturing business in 1972 with his son, Buster.  Together they owned and operated the business for 40 years. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Mary; son, Guy who preceded Bob in death but leaves behind his two daughters, Liz and Ocie; daughter, Stormy Ray and her four children, Amy, Kimberly, Mandy, and Tony; son, Buster and his wife Francie and their daughters Alexa and Makenna; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; brothers Gilbert Aguilar and Victor Mansanarez.  Bob is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Lou Aguilar and Manuel, Felix, Bill and Rudy Mansanarez and sister Marie.

Bob was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.  He had a great passion for the outdoors and loved to spend time hunting, fishing and gold prospecting. He was a man of immense integrity and character and never knew a stranger he wasn’t willing to offer a helping hand.  He will be greatly missed by all.

Services will be held at Crossroads Community Church (The Venue) building on 4286 E. Amity, Nampa, ID on December 9, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with reception to follow.  In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials go to Crossroads Church at 4170 E Amity Ave, Nampa, ID 83687.
