Tribute

Afonenko Lidiya was born on March 12, 1939, in Siberia Russia into the Burmishev family Saveliya and Maria. Lydiya's father died during World War 2. Maria was a widow raising two daughters; Valentina and Lidiya. During difficult times after the war, her older sister Valentina graduated from Medical School as a Physician Assistant. Lidiya graduated high school and attended college where she graduated as a Librarian. In 1959 she got married to Afonenko Vasiliy Maksimovich. Four children were born into their family; Leonid, Aleksandr, Yelena, and Valentina. in 1968 they moved to Uzbekistan with three of their children, their youngest was born in Uzbekistan. In 1995 Lidiya accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. They lived in Uzbekistan till 1996 when her spouse Vasiliy passed away. Lidiya returned to her homeland after his funeral. In November of 1999 Lidiya with her oldest daughter and her children Valeriy, Anastasiya, and Vladimir relocated to Alaska to reunite with her youngest daughter Valentina and her family.

In Alaska, Lidiya was attending Church of Hope, Wasilla, Alaska from 1999 to 2020. In June of 2020, Lidiya relocated to Nampa, Idaho. God has blessed Lidiya abundantly and gave her 11 grandkids, and 30 great-grandchildren. Lidiya faced many challenges and hardships and never complained. Always gave a helping hand to others, gave tithes to the church, and offerings to ministries faithfully and freely gave to people in need.

God blessed her with good life surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Lidiya had spent many hours praying for loved ones and brothers and sisters in Jesus Christ.

She passed away due to brain tumors she's been struggling with since 2009. On July 10, 2021, Lidiya entered the Heavenly Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Leaving behind tremendous amounts of good memories, which we will always cherish in our hearts. She passed away surrounded by family and love.

We will love you forever, Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma. We will miss you.
