Riley Oliver Brooks, age 15, passed away unexpectedly on January 17 2024. He leaves behind a family who loved him deeply, including his Grandparents Rob and Robin Overy, his mom Melissa Jensen and his siblings Jaden, Lilly, Olivia Brooks, and his numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Riley had an incredible love for his friends, and they were a major part of his life. He cherished the moments spent with them, finding joy in their friendship. Their laughter, shared adventures, and mutual support provided him with countless cherished memories that he held dear.
An ardent adventurist, Riley found exhilaration in the adrenaline rush of bull riding. The thrill of testing his strength and courage in the arena at rodeo fever. His fearlessness and determination were evident in every ride, and he embraced the challenge with unwavering resolve.
Riley also had a passion for the outdoors and adventure. Riley found excitement in the sport of fishing. He spent his time by the water casting his line in search of the perfect catch. Whether it was on a lake, river, or stream. Riley also had a deep love for camping, finding peace in the simplicity of life under the stars.
An adrenaline junkie at heart, Riley was always on the move from riding his motorcycle and ATV to exploring the great outdoors, to navigating the open road in his beloved truck. His thirst for adventure and his fearlessness in pursuing it truly set him apart.
In addition to his love for his papa & grandma, mom, siblings, family, friends, outdoor activities, and bull riding, Riley had a heart of gold and a smile that could light up a room. Riley was known for his contagious laughter and his ability to brighten the lives of those around him. His absence will be felt deeply by his family, friends, and all who were lucky enough to know him.
While Riley's time here was cut tragically short, the memories he leaves behind will last a lifetime. Riley will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey.
A celebration of Riley's life will be held on January 26, 2024 at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel. A public viewing will take place from 11am to 1pm with a service to follow
