Tommy Howard Brown, 76, passed away on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Boise VA Hospital.
Tommy was born August 8, 1941 to Harley and Audrey (Hugger) Brown in Grant’s Pass, Oregon. He grew up in Portland, OR and joined the Air Force in 1960. Upon his honorable discharge from the Air Force in 1963, he started doing wood signs and learned to play the bass guitar. He became a police officer in 1971 where he worked for Ada County. In 1973 he became the Chief of Police for the City of Kuna and in 1975 Tommy transferred to Garden City Police Department. He managed some apartment complexes in Nampa and Boise and then went on to work for the VA.
Tommy is survived by his daughter, Karen Jensen, of Emmet; two grandsons, Joe Brown and Michael Schluckebier both of Emmett; two brothers; five sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother; two step-brothers; grandson and son-in-law.
A viewing will be on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 from 10:00 AM until Noon at Alsip and Persons Funeral Chapel, 404 10th Avenue South, Nampa, Idaho 83651. There will be a procession Wednesday from the funeral chapel to the Idaho State Veteran’s Cemetery in Boise for a 1:00 PM committal service with military honors.
