August 17, 1931 ~ April 16, 2018 (age 86) 86 Years Old

Tribute

Vivian Grace Jones was born in Boise, Idaho on August 17, 1931 to Adell and Elmer Jones they travelled back to North Carolina but later came back and settled in Nampa a couple years later. Vivian attended Nampa schools and enjoyed summer sports along with her sister, Jean.  From the very beginning of her life faith and the belief in Jesus was a cornerstone of her and her family’s life. Part of their fun and belief was singing with her sister in the church from the age of 5. Her family donated the ground and helped build the Pentecostal Church in Nampa. Her faith carried her throughout her life.

After she graduated from Nampa High School she moved to Moscow to pursue higher education. She felt like becoming an attorney was her goal, however at that time very few ladies were allowed in law school, so she studied business. While in Nampa working she met Wally Moore, after dating for a short time they married and went on an adventure covering several states, finally landing in southern California.  There they went into real estate where they both became brokers. At the same time Vivian found the opportunity to further her education at the University of California Riverside where she received her Master's Degree, and was inducted as a Phi Beta Kappa, something she was very proud of.

Later in life she found that her ailing mother needed her attention, she tended her for almost 20 years. She and Wally returned to Idaho in the early 2000s and settled in Marsing near the river. They enjoyed their retirement and a GOOD YARDSALE.  Wally passed in July of 2014 leaving Vivian with a lot of supportive friends and family.

She passed away peacefully Monday morning April 16 after a short illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Elmer and Adell Jones, her sister; Wilma Jean Platt, and her husband; Wally Moore.

She is survived by three nephews; Larry (Chrissi) Platt, Mike (Kim) Platt, and Ron (Tina) Platt.
